On May 7, 2025, the Special Affairs and Organizational Image Promotion Department of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, organized an activity to enhance English communication skills for nursing students under the theme “Speak Smile and Smart.” Dr. Supranee Sittikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, presided over the event and delivered the opening remarks. Ms. Nathamon Jompang, Assistant Dean for Special Affairs and Organizational Image Promotion, along with faculty members from the department, facilitated the activities. This activity was organized to enhance nursing students’ ability to communicate in English, which is essential for their work in healthcare settings, especially when communicating with foreign patients. This is considered a crucial skill for healthcare personnel in the era of globalization. The activity focused on learning basic vocabulary and common conversations found in inpatient wards, with activities designed to be enjoyable and promote participation through simulations and role-playing.
A highlight of the event was the presence of two influencers, “Phupa London” and “Kru Fern Sakon,” who enriched the learning atmosphere with smiles and laughter. This was aligned with the “Speak, Smile, and Smart” concept, which aimed to provide participants with knowledge, confidence, and inspiration for self-development.
This activity reflects the college’s mission to produce capable and high-quality nursing graduates who are prepared to effectively engage with the international healthcare system.
