On June 4, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sittikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, presided over the opening ceremony of the orientation program for new students of the 16th Nursing Assistant Certificate Program for the academic year 2025. The program aims to prepare new students academically, socially, and mentally for life in the college and for their future nursing careers. Dr. Supranee also welcomed students and their parents and delivered a special lecture on “Financial Management and Saving Habits”, promoting the importance of financial discipline and sustainable savings practices. The event was attended by the college’s executive team, faculty members, staff, and students at the Srikhotraboon Auditorium, Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom.
The orientation also featured a session by Assistant Professor Payom Sinthuchiri, Associate Dean for Academic Services and Social Engagement, who introduced the curriculum, student support systems, and the teaching staff to help new students gain a comprehensive understanding of the college’s learning structure.
Later in the morning, the session “Family-Involved Student Support and Counseling” was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Surachai Chaniang, Associate Dean for Student Development and International Relations. The session emphasized the importance of collaboration among students, families, and the college in nurturing and supporting the potential of each student.
In the afternoon, students participated in a group activity titled “Positive Vibes on Campus: You’re Not Alone on Your First Step”, led by Assistant Professor Kamonnut Klongdee, Head of the Department of Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing, along with faculty members. This activity focused on fostering team spirit, enhancing communication and emotional skills, and helping students transition smoothly into college life with confidence and purpose.
As part of the orientation program, students and parents were given a tour of the college, including classrooms, nursing labs, the nurse’s station, the library, and surrounding areas, to help them become familiar with the learning environment before the semester begins.
The overall atmosphere of the event was warm and welcoming, leaving a positive impression on both students and parents. It reflected the college’s strong commitment to developing students holistically—academically, emotionally, and ethically—as future professionals in the nursing field.
