On July 19, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Nakhon Phanom University, in collaboration with the Student Union of the Faculty of Engineering and the Student Union of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom (BCNN), organized a training session on first aid and basic life support for students and staff of the Faculty of Engineering. The event was presided over by Dr. Kanisorn Thanatthawutikorn, Associate Dean for Student Affairs.
The training was led by lecturers from the Department of Adult and Elderly Nursing, including Ms. Janrada Phuyafa, Mr. Witthawat Phothao, Ms. Benjawan Butyothee, and members of the BCNN Student Union. This initiative was part of BCNN’s academic service mission, aiming to equip participants with essential foundational knowledge and practical skills to assist individuals in emergency situations.
The training session featured both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice, covering topics such as basic first aid principles, initial assessment of symptoms, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid for various injuries (e.g., accidents, wounds, bleeding control), and care for unconscious individuals. The instructors ensured participants could apply the techniques correctly and safely, building their confidence and preparedness to respond effectively to real-life emergencies.
This activity, held at the Faculty of Engineering building, was part of the ongoing collaboration between the two student unions and aimed to promote experiential learning and instill a sense of social responsibility and readiness to assist others in times of need.
