From January 27 to 29, 2026, Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, led by Dr. Supranee Sitthikan, Dean of the College, assigned Ms. Duangjai Boonkong, Head of the Adult and Elderly Nursing Department, together with faculty members including Ms. Datchanee Suwannakom, Assistant Professor Dr. Napatip Tangtrichak, Mr. Withawat Phorthaw, and Ms. Sukmaporn Phuengphasuk, to serve as speakers in the Project on Driving Standards for Elderly Care for Fiscal Year 2026.
The project was organized by the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Office of Social Development and Human Security under an 18-hour basic elderly care training program. The opening ceremony was presided over by Ms. Ketsuda Mongkonnawin, Provincial Social Development and Human Security Officer of Nakhon Phanom.
The training was held at Saengsingkaew Conference Room, 3rd Floor, Center for Quality of Life Development and Elderly Career Promotion, Charoen Khunying Wanna Sirivadhanabhakdi Building, Mueang District, Nakhon Phanom Province. In addition, an online training session was conducted on January 29, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The objective of this program was to enhance the capacity of social development and human security volunteers to become knowledgeable and skilled in elderly care, serving as a community-based network for monitoring, caring, and protecting older persons. It also aimed to strengthen the capacity of the general public and those interested in elderly care within families and communities, enabling them to apply the acquired knowledge effectively.
A total of 50 participants attended the training. The program covered general knowledge about aging, health promotion, basic care, first aid, environmental management, and prevention of complications, in order to improve the quality of life of older persons in Nakhon Phanom Province in a sustainable manner.
The participation of faculty members from Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom reflects the institution’s important role in supporting academic and community service missions, as well as contributing to the development of standardized elderly care systems that are aligned with local contexts.
