BCNN joins the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Health Assembly 2025 “Developing Policy Proposals for an Inclusive Approach to an Aging Society in Nakhon Phanom”

On August 25, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sithikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, delivered the welcoming remarks at the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Health Assembly 2025 under the theme “Developing Policy Proposals for an Inclusive Approach to an Aging Society in Nakhon Phanom.” She emphasized the vital role of the College as a health education institution committed to advancing knowledge, research, and collaboration with partner networks to drive health policies and improve quality of life—particularly in addressing the pressing issue of an aging society.

The meeting was presided over by Acting Sub-Lieutenant Ruairung Khaiyabut, Deputy Governor of Nakhon Phanom Province, with the opening report delivered by Mr. Somchai Saenlang, Deputy Provincial Public Health Doctor of Nakhon Phanom. The event was organized by the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Health Assembly Committee and supported by the National Health Commission Office (NHCO). It provided a platform for representatives of government agencies, community organizations, civil society, and other stakeholders to exchange knowledge, discuss problems and lessons learned, and voice opinions on policy proposals for Nakhon Phanom’s aging society. A total of 60 participants attended, including representatives from agencies responsible for driving aging society initiatives, NHCO representatives, the private sector, local administrative organizations, community councils, the Provincial Health Assembly Committee, and Nakhon Phanom University. The meeting was held at the Fah Thor Tawan Conference Room, 2nd Floor, Chalermphrakiat 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary Building, Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom University.

The program included a keynote address on “The Aging Society and Public Participation in Policy Movement” by Mr. Charuek Chairak, Assistant Secretary-General of the National Health Commission. In addition, a panel discussion on “Driving Successes, Practical Outcomes, and Challenges in Addressing the Aging Society of Nakhon Phanom” was held, featuring Mr. Somchai Saenlang, Deputy Provincial Public Health Doctor; the Provincial Social Development and Human Security Office; Dr. Patcharapa Khwannsue, Academic Representative; Mr. Panupong Wongchampa, President of Thalad Subdistrict Administrative Organization; and Mr. Chaloemkiat Pimsri, Representative of the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Community Council. The discussion was moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khanin Chueaduangphui, Secretary of the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Health Assembly.

Furthermore, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Benjamas Pilayont, Committee Member of the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Health Assembly and Assistant Dean for Educational Quality Assurance, Boromarajonani College of Nursing, presented the policy proposal “Strategies and Approaches for Driving Inclusive Aging Society Policies for the People of Nakhon Phanom.” The session also included group exchanges, reflections, and recommendations from participants.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants collectively declared the commitment of the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Health Assembly network to advancing the proposed policies on aging society, aligned with the province’s Development Strategy No. 4: Social Development and Quality of Life for Sustainable Happiness. The strategy emphasizes enhancing education, promoting experiential learning, addressing poverty reduction, and developing digital skills among personnel, children, and youth—fully aligned with Nakhon Phanom Province’s strategic development goals.

BCNN joins “NPU Pride Month 2025” to showcase the power of gender and cultural diversity

On June 28, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sitthikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom University, together with the college’s executives, faculty members, and students, participated in the “NPU Pride Month 2025” event to celebrate Pride Month and promote acceptance of gender and cultural diversity. The event was held at Phanom Naka Plaza, in front of Indochina Market, Mueang District, Nakhon Phanom Province.

The event was honored by Professor Emeritus Dr. Thawatchai Supadis, President of Nakhon Phanom University, who presided over the opening ceremony. Assistant Professor Dr. Runglawan Iamkusalakit, Vice President for Special Affairs and Educational Quality Assurance, delivered the welcome address.

The event featured a wide range of creative activities starting from 5:00 PM, with highlights such as a vibrant and imaginative LGBTQ+ fancy parade, an academic discussion on “Is Love Diverse?: Sexuality, Emotions, and Human Identity”—a platform for sharing knowledge and understanding about gender diversity, and a LGBTQ+ costume contest with cash prizes totaling over 10,000 baht. Participants were also given the opportunity to freely and joyfully express their identity in an inclusive and celebratory atmosphere.

 

This participation reflects the role of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, in promoting an equitable society that values differences and supports everyone in expressing their true selves with pride, within a warm, friendly, and non-discriminatory environment.

BCNN Welcomes Monitoring and Support Team for the Nursing Assistant Certificate Program under the 2025 High Vocational Education Innovation Scholarship Project (1st Round)

On June 25, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sithikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, together with the college executives and faculty members, warmly welcomed the monitoring and support team for the Nursing Assistant Certificate Program under the 2025 High Vocational Education Innovation Scholarship Project (1st Round). The field visit was scheduled for June 25–26, 2025.

The visiting team included Mr. Janyawat Thapchan, President of the Community Nurses Network Foundation, and Associate Professor Dr. Sakda Khamkhom, representative of the Equitable Education Fund (EEF). The purpose of the visit was to follow up, encourage, and support scholarship recipients in preparing for academic success and future careers.

Activities during the visit included reviewing scholarship application documents (EEF.01), entrance exam results, and holding discussions with program administrators to exchange insights on curriculum management and student development. The team also conducted interviews with academic advisors and had one-on-one conversations with scholarship recipients to gather feedback and suggestions.

In addition, the team met with groups of scholarship students and conducted home visits to better understand the students’ living environments. The visit concluded with a summary session to inform future planning for student support and development.

This activity is part of a close-monitoring strategy aimed at maximizing the impact of the scholarship, ensuring students’ success both academically and professionally.
