BCNN Nakhon Phanom Organizes Student Club Activity to Create Social Value, Phase 1, Enhancing CPR Skills for Student Leaders

On 14 January 2026, Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, through the Division of Student Development and International Relations, organized the “Student Club Creating Social Value, Phase 1” activity (Developing student club leaders and volunteer leaders in cardiopulmonary resuscitation). The opening ceremony was presided over by Dr. Supranee Sitthikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, who delivered the opening address to encourage participants and emphasize the importance of developing students with volunteer spirit, knowledge, and practical skills that can be applied to provide tangible assistance to society. Student leaders of the college participated in the activity at Si Khotrabun Auditorium, Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University.

The program featured a lecture entitled “Psychological First Aid” by Assistant Professor Dr. Surachai Chaniang, Associate Dean for Student Development and International Relations, followed by hands-on training in basic first aid, basic life support (CPR), and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Participants were divided into groups for practical training and return demonstrations, with instruction provided by Ms. Thipwipha Sang-in and a team of trainers from Nakhon Phanom Hospital.

The objective of this activity was to enhance students’ knowledge, life skills, and volunteer leadership, enabling them to become a vital force in providing assistance to society and communities in a sustainable manner.

Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, in collaboration with the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Transport Office, organized the project “New Generation Students with Driving Licenses” for the Fiscal Year 2026 (Batch 1).

On January 10, 2026, Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, under the leadership of Dr. Supranee Sitthikarn, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, assigned Assistant Professor Dr. Surachai Chaniang, Associate Dean for Student Development and International Relations, together with the Division of Student Development and International Relations and the Student Union of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, in collaboration with the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Transport Office, to organize the project “New Generation Students with Driving Licenses” for the Fiscal Year 2026 (Batch 1) for nursing students at Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom. A total of 50 nursing students participated in the activity.

This activity was supported by the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Transport Office, which provided speakers and facilitated the knowledge transfer at Ming Nakhon Phanom Conference Room, 2nd Floor, Chalerm Phrakiat 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary Building, Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University.

The objective of the project was to enhance nursing students’ knowledge and understanding of road traffic laws, safe driving practices, and the importance of legally obtaining a driving license, as well as to provide basic first aid knowledge in the event of road accidents. In addition, the project aimed to cultivate a sense of discipline, responsibility, and social awareness among students as responsible road users.

During the activity, the nursing students received knowledge and guidance from expert speakers, covering both theoretical content and preparation guidelines in accordance with the criteria of the Department of Land Transport. This contributed to the development of essential life skills, reduction of accident risks, and increased safety in daily road use. The project was honored to have guest speakers from Nakhon Phanom City Police Station, safe driving instructors from a motorcycle dealership company, and officers from the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Transport Office.

 

The project “New Generation Students with Driving Licenses” (Batch 1) reflects strong collaboration between educational institutions and government agencies in jointly developing nursing students to be quality individuals with traffic discipline, ethical awareness, and readiness to serve as responsible healthcare professionals for society.

BCNN Nakhon Phanom Signs MOU with Nakhon Phanom Hospital to Enhance Teaching and Learning and Elevate the Nursing Profession to Excellence

On January 7, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, in collaboration with Nakhon Phanom Hospital, held a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on excellence in teaching and learning management with clinical training sites and educational institutions.

The MOU was signed by Dr. Supranee Sittikarn, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, and Dr. Apiwat Banditchart, Director of Nakhon Phanom Hospital.

The witnesses to the signing were:

  • Assistant Professor Prapairat Kaewsiri, Vice Dean for Educational Development, Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University

  • Mrs. Panadda Satitwat, RN, Deputy Director of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom Hospital

The ceremony was attended by executives, faculty members, and staff from both institutions, as well as distinguished guests, and was held at Ming Nakhon Phanom Conference Room, 2nd Floor, 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary Building, Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University.

Dr. Supranee Sittikarn stated that the objective of this collaboration is to promote and enhance the capacity of nursing students, nursing faculty members, and professional nurses through clinical nursing practice, faculty practice initiatives, research development, and academic services, in order to elevate the quality of nursing education and practice in alignment with professional standards and the needs of the healthcare system.

Both institutions expressed their shared commitment to exchanging knowledge, experience, and appropriate resources within the framework of applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies, prioritizing the benefits of students, personnel, and the public. They are confident that this collaboration will serve as an important foundation for strengthening the nursing network and contribute to the sustainable development of healthcare service quality in the future.

After the signing ceremony, the Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom presented souvenirs to the representatives of Nakhon Phanom Hospital and participated in a group photo session, concluding the ceremony in an atmosphere of cooperation and strong institutional relations.

In addition, following the MOU signing, the executives and staff of Nakhon Phanom Hospital met with fourth-year nursing students who are scheduled to graduate in January to engage in discussions, share experiences, and provide guidance on preparation for professional practice. This activity helped students better understand the working environment, build inspiration, and prepare them to enter the nursing profession with confidence and competence.

Integrated Provincial Platform in Nakhon Phanom Strengthens Collaborative Efforts to Address NCDs

The Provincial Integrated Health Promotion Management Coordination Center (Platform) of Nakhon Phanom Province, in collaboration with Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom and health sector partners, organized a workshop entitled “Analysis of the Health Partnership Ecosystem and Integrated Approaches to Advancing Health Promotion on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in Nakhon Phanom Province.” The workshop aimed to gather input, develop action plans, and define integrated strategies to address the growing challenge of non-communicable diseases in the province.

On January 19, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sitthikarn, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, presided over the opening ceremony and delivered the welcoming remarks. She outlined the key concepts and objectives of health promotion initiatives under the Provincial Integrated Platform, emphasizing systematic collaboration among partner networks to tackle NCDs—particularly diabetes, which remains a major public health concern in the area.

The workshop was attended by faculty members of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, including Assistant Professor Dr. Benjamart Pilayont, Assistant Dean for Quality Assurance; Assistant Professor Chaiwat Inchaya, lecturer in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing; and Assistant Professor Arunrat Uthaisang, lecturer in Adult and Gerontological Nursing. The event was held at Ming Nakhon Phanom Conference Room, 2nd Floor, the 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary Building, Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University.

Assistant Professor Dr. Kanin Chueduangphui, Head of the Provincial Integrated Health Promotion Management Unit (Platform) of Nakhon Phanom Province and project coordinator, stated that the workshop was supported by the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), Creative Opportunities Office (Office 6). The primary objective was to develop project proposals focusing on the prevention and delay of non-communicable diseases, particularly diabetes, in a sustainable manner.

The program featured lectures and panel discussions by distinguished speakers, including:

  • Assistant Professor Dr. Kanin Chueduangphui, who explained the objectives and operational framework of the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Platform;

  • Assistant Professor Dr. Benjamart Pilayont, who presented the current NCD situation and an analysis of the health partnership ecosystem;

  • Dr. Sirilak Jaichuang, Deputy Provincial Chief Medical Officer of Nakhon Phanom, who discussed integrated collaboration approaches led by the Provincial Public Health Office; and

  • A representative from the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Administrative Organization, who addressed the role of the local government in supporting public health initiatives.

Participants included representatives from various sectors, such as the core working team, the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Public Health Office, the Provincial Administrative Organization, Nakhon Phanom Provincial Sports School, CYF Learning Center, and the Nakhon Phanom Tourism and Sports Club, with a total of more than 20 attendees.

Outcomes from the discussions and knowledge exchange will be utilized as key inputs for developing project proposals to seek funding support from Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), Creative Opportunities Office (Office 6). Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, will serve as the principal grant recipient and lead agency in implementing the initiatives, with the aim of strengthening the provincial health system and sustainably improving the quality of life of the people of Nakhon Phanom Province.

BCNN Nakhon Phanom Organizes “Mindfulness Psychology for Emotional Well-being” Activity to Strengthen Communication and Teamwork Skills for Practical Nursing Certificate Students (Cohort 16)

On 26 November 2025, Dr. Supranee Sittikarn, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, assigned Lecturer Payom Sinthusiri, Deputy Dean for Academic Services and Social Strengthening, to preside over the opening ceremony of the enrichment activity “Mindfulness Psychology for Emotional Well-being” for students of the Practical Nursing Certificate Program, Cohort 16. She delivered opening remarks and encouraged the participants, emphasizing the importance of mindfulness in self-care, teamwork, and effective communication within the healthcare profession.
The event was held at the Screening Room, Building 1, Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom.

The activity was honored to have Asst. Prof. Darunee Sawasdeechot, Assistant Dean for Academic Services, and Lecturer Chawala Buahom, faculty member in the Department of Maternal, Newborn, and Midwifery Nursing, as speakers. They provided knowledge and practical techniques related to mindfulness psychology, emotional self-care, positive communication, deep listening, and applying mindfulness in daily work. These skills help reduce stress, enhance workplace relationships, and build essential competencies for future nursing assistants.

The atmosphere throughout the activity was warm, engaging, and rich in hands-on learning. Students practiced meditation, mindful communication, the use of I–Messages, teamwork, and reflective exercises.

Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom aims for this activity to strengthen students’ emotional and communication skills, equipping them for high-quality healthcare practice with compassion and a human-centered approach.

Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom Participates in “NPU Loy Krathong: Sammanathi Than 2025” to Preserve Thai Cultural Heritage

On November 3, 2025, Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom (BCNNKP), Nakhon Phanom University, led by Dr. Supranee Sithikan, Dean of the College, together with administrators, faculty members, staff, and students, took part in the “NPU Loy Krathong: Sammanathi Than 2025” event. The activity aimed to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Thailand through the celebration of the traditional Loy Krathong Festival, held at the activity area in front of the Office of Academic Resources, Nakhon Phanom University (Marukhanakhon Campus).

The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. Surasit Wachirakhajorn, Vice President for Human Resources Administration. Before the formal opening, all participants paid tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother by observing a moment of silence and lighting candles arranged to spell out the message “Forever in Thai Hearts” as an expression of deep gratitude, loyalty, and remembrance of Her Majesty’s benevolence.

The atmosphere of the event was filled with joy, color, and cultural beauty. Highlights included eco-friendly Krathong-making workshops with members of the Ban Tha Kho community, a creative Krathong design contest, and “Taste – Shop – Snap – Check-in” booths organized by students from all faculties and colleges. The illuminated tunnel of lanterns, themed “Light of Grace Flowing Through the River,” added warmth and vibrancy to the festive night.

Through this participation, BCNN reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing Thai arts and culture while encouraging students to appreciate and continue traditional practices that reflect the Thai identity. The event aligns with Nakhon Phanom University’s Strategic Goal No. 7 – “Excellence Culture Community”, and supports the university’s mission to foster cultural preservation and community engagement.

Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom Donates Basic Health Care Equipment to Support the Establishment of a Nursing Room at the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology, Nakhon Phanom University

October 20, 2025 – Nakhon Phanom:
Dr. Supranee Sithikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom University, presented basic medical equipment and supplies to Asst. Prof. Dr. Saowakon Hemwong, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology, Nakhon Phanom University. The handover ceremony took place at the Warm Community Nursing Clinic, Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom University.

The donated items included first-aid medical supplies, essential care items, and a patient bed to support the establishment of a “Nursing Room” that will provide primary health care services for students and staff of the faculty, ensuring convenient and timely access to nursing care.

Dr. Supranee Sithikan stated that this initiative reflects the college’s commitment to promoting health and well-being among students and staff of Nakhon Phanom University, as well as fostering strong collaboration among faculties within the university.

Prof. Dr. Saowakon Hemwong expressed her gratitude to the Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, for the valuable contribution, emphasizing that the support will help complete the establishment of the faculty’s nursing room and enhance its capacity to provide effective health care services to students.

BCNN Nakhon Phanom Preserves the Tradition of Illuminated Boat Procession at the Nakhon Phanom World Illuminated Boat Festival and Red Cross Fair 2025

On October 6, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sithikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, led administrators, faculty members, staff, and students to participate in the Lantern Lighting Ceremony of Nakhon Phanom University’s Illuminated Boat as part of the Nakhon Phanom World Illuminated Boat Festival and Red Cross Fair 2025, to honor and preserve the long-standing cultural tradition of Nakhon Phanom.

On this occasion, Nakhon Phanom University was honored by the presence of Acting Sub-Lieutenant Ruairung Khraibut, Deputy Governor of Nakhon Phanom Province, along with representatives from partner organizations including PEA ENCOM International Co., Ltd., Nakhon Phanom Chamber of Commerce, and KWHB Co., Ltd. They jointly lit the ceremonial lanterns symbolizing unity and faith, marking the fifth night of the Nakhon Phanom University Illuminated Boat Show, held annually to celebrate the Buddhist Lent Festival.

The ceremony was presided over by Professor Emeritus Dr. Thawatchai Supadis, President of Nakhon Phanom University, and attended by a large number of locals and visitors who came to witness the breathtaking lights of faith along the Mekong River.

In addition, Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom contributed to the festive atmosphere by presenting the cultural performance “Fhon Sin Thin Phanom” and a folk music performance by nursing students, showcasing the university’s cultural identity and community collaboration in preserving the meaningful tradition of the Illuminated Boat Procession. The event took place at the “Way of the Illuminated Boat” Pavilion, jointly organized by Nakhon Phanom Municipality and Nakhon Phanom University, in front of Sunthornvijit School, along the Mekong River, Mueang Nakhon Phanom District.

BCN Nakhon Phanom Organizes Activity to Promote Self-Esteem, Self-Compassion, and Mental Immunity

On September 10, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sitthikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, University of Nakhon Phanom, presided over the opening ceremony of the activity “Promoting Self-Esteem, Self-Compassion, and Mental Immunity” under the Student Counseling Development Program. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surachai Chaniang, Associate Dean for Student Development and International Relations, delivered the report.

The activity focused on three key objectives:

  1. Screening students for mental health risks

  2. Promoting and preventing potential mental health problems

  3. Raising self-awareness, encouraging self-esteem, and cultivating self-compassion among students

The program was held at the Sri Khottaboon Auditorium of BCN Nakhon Phanom and also offered in an online format to ensure broader student participation.

Distinguished guest speakers included:

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chatchawan Silpakit, Director of the Contemplative Education Center, Mahidol University, on “Mental Immunity”

  • Ms. Tipsuda Bunprapawat, Clinical Psychologist Specialist, Nakhon Phanom Rajanagarindra Psychiatric Hospital, on “Enhancing Self-Esteem”

  • Ms. Chanikan Pattum, Psychologist, Student Affairs Division, University of Nakhon Phanom, on “Self-Compassion”

The event also featured evaluation and reflective activities facilitated by Ms. Sumisa Kumla, Head of Student Guidance and Counseling, together with the Student Development and International Relations Division of the College.

This activity plays an important role in strengthening students’ mental immunity and fostering sustainable mental well-being. It also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:

  • SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being – ensuring strong mental health and resilience

  • SDG 4: Quality Education – providing quality education that integrates life skills and mental health awareness

  • SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions – fostering a peaceful and inclusive society that values dignity and compassion

The initiative represents a significant step in enhancing students’ quality of life, preparing them to become healthcare professionals with knowledge, competence, and emotional balance.

BCNN Participates in MOU Signing Ceremony on Academic and Public Health Collaboration

On September 4, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sittikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, attended the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Nakhon Phanom Municipality and Nakhon Phanom University. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Niwat Jiawiriyaboonya, Mayor of Nakhon Phanom Municipality, and Professor Emeritus Dr. Thawatchai Supadis, President of Nakhon Phanom University.

Distinguished representatives from both institutions joined as witnesses, including Mr. Watcharachet Kittipornsirikul, Deputy Mayor of Nakhon Phanom Municipality; Asst. Prof. Dr. Runglawun Ieamkusalakit, Vice President for Special Affairs and Educational Quality Assurance; Mrs. Ubonrat Chaipachitchai, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Municipality, Acting Permanent Secretary of Nakhon Phanom Municipality; and Mrs. Pawinee Somanawat, Director of the Division of Public Health and Environment. The event took place at Sriworakarn Meeting Room, 5th Floor, Nakhon Phanom Municipality Office.

The MOU aims to strengthen academic, research, and public health collaborations within Nakhon Phanom Municipality. The cooperation focuses on knowledge exchange, professional training, and the development of public health competencies through academic and practical experiences. Joint initiatives include training programs, capacity building for personnel, and the application of research and academic services to enhance the quality of healthcare services for the local community.
