On November 3, 2025, Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom (BCNNKP), Nakhon Phanom University, led by Dr. Supranee Sithikan, Dean of the College, together with administrators, faculty members, staff, and students, took part in the “NPU Loy Krathong: Sammanathi Than 2025” event. The activity aimed to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Thailand through the celebration of the traditional Loy Krathong Festival, held at the activity area in front of the Office of Academic Resources, Nakhon Phanom University (Marukhanakhon Campus).
The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. Surasit Wachirakhajorn, Vice President for Human Resources Administration. Before the formal opening, all participants paid tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother by observing a moment of silence and lighting candles arranged to spell out the message “Forever in Thai Hearts” as an expression of deep gratitude, loyalty, and remembrance of Her Majesty’s benevolence.
The atmosphere of the event was filled with joy, color, and cultural beauty. Highlights included eco-friendly Krathong-making workshops with members of the Ban Tha Kho community, a creative Krathong design contest, and “Taste – Shop – Snap – Check-in” booths organized by students from all faculties and colleges. The illuminated tunnel of lanterns, themed “Light of Grace Flowing Through the River,” added warmth and vibrancy to the festive night.
Through this participation, BCNN reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing Thai arts and culture while encouraging students to appreciate and continue traditional practices that reflect the Thai identity. The event aligns with Nakhon Phanom University’s Strategic Goal No. 7 – “Excellence Culture Community”, and supports the university’s mission to foster cultural preservation and community engagement.
