On June 10, 2024, Dr. Supranee Sitthikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, presided over the opening of the workshop titled “Communication for Student Leaders and Conflict Management” under the Phase 3 Student Club Planning Workshop Project. She also welcomed the guest speakers. Joining the event were Asst. Prof. Dr. Surachai Chaniang, Associate Dean for Student Development and International Relations, along with faculty members and staff, leading the student club committee in attending the event held at the “Fa Thor Tawan” meeting room, 2nd floor, Chalermprakiat Building, celebrating the 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary, Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom University.

The workshop focused on enhancing communication skills for student leaders and strategies for conflict management. The session was honored to have distinguished speakers: Dr. Kantaphop Buathong from the College of Tourism and Service Industry, Nakhon Phanom University, and Ms. Jinda Thapinkaew from the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Nakhon Phanom University. The workshop aimed to equip student leaders with effective communication skills and provide guidance on resolving conflicts, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment. It also supported strategic planning for student club activities to enhance genuine student learning and engagement.

BCNN Holds a Meeting of Internal Quality Assurance Indicator Committee for Academic Year 2024 (B.E. 2567)

On June 9, 2025, Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, organized a meeting of the committee responsible for the internal quality assurance indicators at the curriculum level for the academic year 2024 (B.E. 2567). The agenda included a critical review of the TQF 7 (Thai Qualifications Framework for Higher Education) for the revised Bachelor of Nursing Science Program (2021 version) and the Master of Nursing Science Program in Community Nurse Practitioner for the academic year 2024.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Supranee Sittikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom. Assistant Professor Dr. Benjamas Philaion, Associate Dean for Educational Quality Assurance, led the presentation of data and assessment results. Committee members responsible for the indicators, along with faculty members in charge of the programs, were invited to exchange views and provide comprehensive academic feedback.

This meeting aimed to ensure readiness for the upcoming educational quality assessment, covering the outcomes of teaching and learning over the past year. It also served as a platform to review and further develop the curriculum to align with professional standards and genuinely meet societal needs.

BCNN Visit Activity to Develop the Organization and Exchange Knowledge on Student Club Operations Between Institutions at the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University

Between June 5–6, 2024, Dr. Supranee Sittikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Surachai Chaniang, Associate Dean for Student Development and International Relations, led faculty and staff from the Office of Student Development and International Relations, along with the Student Club Committee for the academic year 2025, on a study visit to the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University.

The visit was part of a workshop project to draft a student club action plan. They were welcomed and joined in knowledge exchange activities by Associate Professor Dr. Amponpan Theeranoot, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, Associate Professor Dr. Somporn Bunhanrak, Associate Dean for Research and Innovation, Assistant Professor Dr. Somchit Muangphin, Associate Dean for Education and Academic Services, and Assistant Professor Dr. Arunee Jaithieng, Assistant Dean for Student Development, Alumni Affairs, and International Relations, along with the Student Club Committee for the academic year 2025 and other staff members.

The two institutions exchanged knowledge and experiences in student affairs and student club operations.

BCNN Holds Orientation for New Students of the 16th Nursing Assistant Certificate Program, Academic Year 2025

On June 4, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sittikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, presided over the opening ceremony of the orientation program for new students of the 16th Nursing Assistant Certificate Program for the academic year 2025. The program aims to prepare new students academically, socially, and mentally for life in the college and for their future nursing careers. Dr. Supranee also welcomed students and their parents and delivered a special lecture on “Financial Management and Saving Habits”, promoting the importance of financial discipline and sustainable savings practices. The event was attended by the college’s executive team, faculty members, staff, and students at the Srikhotraboon Auditorium, Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom.

The orientation also featured a session by Assistant Professor Payom Sinthuchiri, Associate Dean for Academic Services and Social Engagement, who introduced the curriculum, student support systems, and the teaching staff to help new students gain a comprehensive understanding of the college’s learning structure.

Later in the morning, the session “Family-Involved Student Support and Counseling” was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Surachai Chaniang, Associate Dean for Student Development and International Relations. The session emphasized the importance of collaboration among students, families, and the college in nurturing and supporting the potential of each student.

In the afternoon, students participated in a group activity titled “Positive Vibes on Campus: You’re Not Alone on Your First Step”, led by Assistant Professor Kamonnut Klongdee, Head of the Department of Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing, along with faculty members. This activity focused on fostering team spirit, enhancing communication and emotional skills, and helping students transition smoothly into college life with confidence and purpose.

As part of the orientation program, students and parents were given a tour of the college, including classrooms, nursing labs, the nurse’s station, the library, and surrounding areas, to help them become familiar with the learning environment before the semester begins.

The overall atmosphere of the event was warm and welcoming, leaving a positive impression on both students and parents. It reflected the college’s strong commitment to developing students holistically—academically, emotionally, and ethically—as future professionals in the nursing field.

On June 4, 2025, the Division of Student Development and International Relations of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, organized a workshop and planning session for the Student Club for the 2025 academic year. Dr. Supranee Sittikan, Dean of the college, presided over the opening ceremony, presented certificates of appreciation to the 2024 Student Club Committee, and delivered a special lecture on the topic “Vision, Direction, and Goals of Organizational Management Towards the Development of Excellent Nursing Students,” providing guidance for the Student Club’s operations in the upcoming academic year.

Assistant Professor Dr. Surachai Chaniang, Associate Dean for Student Development and International Relations, led the faculty, staff, and 2025 Student Club members in participating in the event, held at the “Fa Tho Tawan” Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary Building, BCNN Nakhon Phanom.

The event featured expert guest speakers who shared knowledge and perspectives to enhance professional student activity management, including:

  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Benjamas Pilayon, Assistant Dean for Educational Quality Assurance, who gave a talk on “Educational Quality Assurance for Students” and led a Q&A session

  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Surachai Chaniang, who facilitated the workshop activity “SWOT Your Way” to help students strategically plan for the success of the Student Club

In addition to lectures and workshops, the event included a forum for sharing ideas on student organization development. This encouraged student club members to practice systematic planning, and strengthened their leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

The college also aims to promote student understanding of educational quality assurance and effective club planning, while creating learning opportunities through inter-institutional student activity networks. A study visit to the Faculty of Nursing at Khon Kaen University is also planned as part of the program.

On June 4, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sithikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, assigned Asst. Prof. Prapairat Kaewsiri, Deputy Dean for Academic Development, to preside over the admission interview and selection process for the 33rd cohort of the Bachelor of Nursing Science Program under the Admission Round for the 2025 academic year.

The interviews were conducted online via Microsoft Teams. The interview committee thoroughly evaluated each applicant’s performance and held intensive discussions to select candidates who best met the program’s criteria.

BCNN Advances Financial and Accounting Systems with Technology and Good Governance

On June 4, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sithikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, presided over the opening ceremony of the Project for Enhancing Financial and Accounting Management Systems through Effective Technology and Good Governance. The opening remarks were delivered by Asst. Prof. Sirirat Intrakasem, Deputy Dean for Administration and Resource Development. The event was attended by faculty members and staff, all of whom joined with enthusiasm.

The project aims to enhance understanding and skills in managing financial and accounting systems aligned with the digital era, emphasizing transparency, efficiency, and rapid service delivery. The objectives include developing a real-time expenditure monitoring system, establishing a financial database to support effective administrative decision-making, reducing the time and steps required for processing financial documents, and improving service efficiency for both personnel and students. Furthermore, the project supports the modernization of financial strategic planning to better respond to current conditions.

BCNN Workshop on “Techniques for Writing Funded Research Proposals” to Enhance Academic Staff’s Potential

On May 29–30, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sittikan, Dean of Nakhon Phanom Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom University, presided over the opening of a hands-on workshop titled “Techniques for Writing Funded Research Proposals.”

This training featured a special lecture by Asst. Prof. Dr. Prateep Phuengthonglang from Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, Chiang Mai. Dr. Prateep is a certified “Hen Coach” (mentor) by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), with extensive hands-on experience in successfully securing national-level research funding. He shared his expertise, strategies, and practical guidance on crafting compelling research proposals. The workshop was attended by the college’s administrators and faculty members and held at the Fah Thor Tawan Conference Room, 2nd floor, Chalermprakiet 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary Building, Nakhon Phanom Boromarajonani College of Nursing.

This workshop aimed to build knowledge, understanding, and practical skills in research proposal writing for academic staff. The goal is to help participants develop high-quality proposals aligned with funding agencies’ requirements and to promote efficient acquisition of external funding. In addition, the session served as a platform for inspiration, experience sharing, and learning from seasoned researchers.

Nakhon Phanom Boromarajonani College of Nursing hopes that this workshop will be a significant step toward enhancing its research capabilities, leading to the development of impactful research outputs that meet community and societal needs. The acquired knowledge is expected to benefit both current and future research proposal efforts.
