BCNN Organizes Curriculum Critique for the Master of Nursing Science Program in Community Nurse Practitioner (Revised Curriculum B.E. 2569 / A.D. 2026)

On May 25, 2025, Dr. Supranee Suttikarn, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, presided over the opening ceremony and welcomed the esteemed experts at the event titled “Curriculum Critique for the Master of Nursing Science Program in Community Nurse Practitioner (Revised Curriculum B.E. 2569)”. The activity aimed to gather recommendations, suggestions, and constructive feedback from distinguished experts with academic and professional expertise in nursing. The insights provided will be used to modernize the curriculum in alignment with national health policies and community needs, ensuring that graduates become leaders in primary health care management, particularly in community and border areas.

The event was held at Srikhotrabunrat Meeting Room, 9th Floor, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary Building, Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, with participation from the college’s administrators, faculty members, and curriculum committee.

The critique session was honored by the presence of three nationally recognized experts:

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Darunee Rujkorakarn, a representative of the professional council, renowned for her key role in advancing national nursing standards;

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khwanchai Amnatsatsue, an academic expert from Mahidol University;

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saowaros Meepuson, also an academic expert from Mahidol University.

Throughout the session, the experts provided comprehensive feedback on various aspects of the curriculum, including its structure, the clarity of learning outcomes, integration between theoretical and practical components, and the relevance of content in the context of current societal changes.

This initiative reflects the firm commitment of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, as a leading higher education institution in nursing, dedicated to producing high-quality nursing graduates with academic excellence, moral integrity, and the capacity to become future leaders in community and national health care.

BCNN Holds Annual Elderly Health Promotion Club Meeting 2025 and Launches New Club Name “Kankrao Sang Suk” to Empower Communities Toward a Quality Aging Society

On May 26, 2025, the Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, under Nakhon Phanom University, held the Annual Meeting of the Elderly Health Promotion Club for the year 2025.

Dr. Supranee Suttikan, Dean of the Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, delegated Mrs. Praphatporn Chaliewan, Chairperson of the Elderly Club of the College, to preside over the meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to drive forward and consider approaches for organizing activities aimed at improving the quality of life for the elderly in the local area. Additionally, the meeting appointed a new executive committee to effectively continue the club’s mission.

The meeting was attended by elderly committee members from local communities, as well as faculty members, staff, and related personnel. The atmosphere was warm, friendly, and filled with constructive exchanges of ideas. The meeting was held at the Srikhotraburi Room, 9th Floor, Chalerm Phra Kiat Building (Commemorating the King’s 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary), Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom.

One of the key agenda items was naming the Elderly Health Promotion Club. The meeting unanimously agreed on the name “Kankrao Sang Suk” (meaning “Kankrao Tree Cultivates Happiness”). The name was inspired by the “Kankrao Tree,” which is the symbolic tree of both Nakhon Phanom University and Nakhon Phanom Province. It represents strength, stability, and sustainable growth. The chosen name reflects the club’s intention to promote health, enhance happiness, and improve the quality of life for elderly community members in a meaningful and valuable way.

Other important agenda items discussed included:

Issuing an official appointment order for the 2025 club executive committee

Designing a logo for the club

Drafting the club’s rules and regulations

Developing publicity strategies and plans for recruiting new members

Creating the club’s annual activity and operational plan for 2025 and the fiscal year 2026

Developing the club’s webpage to serve as a communication and engagement platform for members and the community.

Furthermore, faculty members and staff from the Academic Services and Social Engagement Division, led by Ajarn Phayom Sinthusiri, appointed Ajarn Dachanee Suwannakom, Ajarn Sukmaporn Phuengphasuk, and Ms. Kannika Nontawongsri to participate in the meeting and provide suggestions and support for the club’s operations.

This meeting highlighted the significant role of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, in advancing its academic service mission with strong community participation, promoting health education, and supporting the overall well-being of the elderly—physically, mentally, and socially.

The college remains committed to building collaborative networks with local partners to promote the health and well-being of people of all ages and to effectively prepare for an aging society in the future.

BCNN Presented Practical Education Plans at Training Sites: Sakhon Nakhon Hospital and Somdej Phra Yuparat That Phanom Hospital

On May 23, 2025, Dr. Supranee Suttikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, under Nakhon Phanom University, assigned Assistant Professor Prapairat Kaewsiri, Associate Dean for Educational Development, to lead a team visit to the practical training sites.

The team included Ms. Duangjai Boonkong, Head of Adult and Elderly Nursing; Assistant Professor Sirinath Phokaphatphubet, Head of Pediatric and Adolescent Nursing; Ms. Siriporn Hemathulin, Head of Maternal, Newborn, and Midwifery Nursing; along with other faculty members responsible for practical courses. The purpose of the visit was to present and discuss the practical education plan for the Bachelor of Nursing Science students for the academic year 2025.

During the visit, the team engaged in constructive discussions with representatives from both hospitals, focusing on key aspects such as the structure of clinical teaching, student practice management, faculty preparation, and strategies to enhance professional nursing skills. The collaboration also aimed to ensure that students are well-equipped to meet the demands of the evolving healthcare system.

“Little Librarians” BCNN “Post-it Heal Your Heart” Activity and Enhance Service Skills

On May 21, 2025, the Curriculum and Learning Support Department of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, organized a “Little Librarians at Work” activity in conjunction with the “Living Library” under the theme “Post-it Heal Your Heart.” This initiative transformed the quiet library into a space for sharing and positive energy, inviting everyone to unleash positive vibes through Post-it notes. Participants also received recommendations for good books to help them through tiring days and had the chance to win cute prizes.

Many students participated in the event, as the library opened beyond regular hours. Members of the academic club acted as assistant librarians, providing services. This allowed students from the Bachelor of Nursing Science program, who are currently attending summer classes, to borrow and return books, and to develop research and innovation projects. This effort aims to enhance learning resources and ensure the library is not just a place to read, but a space for growth, encouragement, and sharing, benefiting students’ learning and serving as an excellent example of user-responsive service.


The next activity, “Rainy Mini Quiz: A Quiz to Beat the Wet and Boost Health Knowledge for the Rainy Season,” will take place on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
