BCN Nakhon Phanom Organizes Activity to Promote Self-Esteem, Self-Compassion, and Mental Immunity

On September 10, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sitthikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, University of Nakhon Phanom, presided over the opening ceremony of the activity “Promoting Self-Esteem, Self-Compassion, and Mental Immunity” under the Student Counseling Development Program. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surachai Chaniang, Associate Dean for Student Development and International Relations, delivered the report.

The activity focused on three key objectives:

  1. Screening students for mental health risks

  2. Promoting and preventing potential mental health problems

  3. Raising self-awareness, encouraging self-esteem, and cultivating self-compassion among students

The program was held at the Sri Khottaboon Auditorium of BCN Nakhon Phanom and also offered in an online format to ensure broader student participation.

Distinguished guest speakers included:

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chatchawan Silpakit, Director of the Contemplative Education Center, Mahidol University, on “Mental Immunity”

  • Ms. Tipsuda Bunprapawat, Clinical Psychologist Specialist, Nakhon Phanom Rajanagarindra Psychiatric Hospital, on “Enhancing Self-Esteem”

  • Ms. Chanikan Pattum, Psychologist, Student Affairs Division, University of Nakhon Phanom, on “Self-Compassion”

The event also featured evaluation and reflective activities facilitated by Ms. Sumisa Kumla, Head of Student Guidance and Counseling, together with the Student Development and International Relations Division of the College.

This activity plays an important role in strengthening students’ mental immunity and fostering sustainable mental well-being. It also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:

  • SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being – ensuring strong mental health and resilience

  • SDG 4: Quality Education – providing quality education that integrates life skills and mental health awareness

  • SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions – fostering a peaceful and inclusive society that values dignity and compassion

The initiative represents a significant step in enhancing students’ quality of life, preparing them to become healthcare professionals with knowledge, competence, and emotional balance.

BCNN collaborates with Nakhon Phanom Municipality to advance the “Learning Management on E-Cigarettes in Children (Smoke Free)” Project, strengthening students’ mental immunity

On September 8, 2025, Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, in collaboration with Nakhon Phanom Municipality, organized the project “Learning Management on E-Cigarettes in Children (Smoke Free)” with the participation of 586 municipal school students. This session was held at Tessaban 3 School (Phinitpittayanusorn) for 162 Grade 7 students. Mr. Nakharin Lueabunchoo, the school principal, led teachers and students in attending the event.

The opening ceremony was honored by Mr. Chokdee Manklakiri, Deputy Mayor of Nakhon Phanom Municipality, who presided over the event. Asst. Prof. Sirinat Phokaphatchphubet, on behalf of the organizing committee, presented the objectives and significance of the project. Dr. Supranee Sithikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, expressed appreciation to all parties for their support and collaboration in driving the project forward.

The project aims to raise awareness and understanding of the harms and dangers of e-cigarettes, while enhancing refusal skills, decision-making abilities, and mental resilience, enabling students to protect themselves from risky behaviors. It also provides knowledge of relevant laws and essential issues on sex education in an appropriate manner. The initiative is financially supported by the Nakhon Phanom Municipality Health Security Fund.

The program will be continued in other municipal schools, from primary to secondary levels, to instill positive attitudes and essential life skills in students. This effort serves as a vital foundation for improving quality of life and building sustainable immunity for children and youth in the future.

BCNN Participates in MOU Signing Ceremony on Academic and Public Health Collaboration

On September 4, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sittikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, attended the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Nakhon Phanom Municipality and Nakhon Phanom University. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Niwat Jiawiriyaboonya, Mayor of Nakhon Phanom Municipality, and Professor Emeritus Dr. Thawatchai Supadis, President of Nakhon Phanom University.

Distinguished representatives from both institutions joined as witnesses, including Mr. Watcharachet Kittipornsirikul, Deputy Mayor of Nakhon Phanom Municipality; Asst. Prof. Dr. Runglawun Ieamkusalakit, Vice President for Special Affairs and Educational Quality Assurance; Mrs. Ubonrat Chaipachitchai, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Municipality, Acting Permanent Secretary of Nakhon Phanom Municipality; and Mrs. Pawinee Somanawat, Director of the Division of Public Health and Environment. The event took place at Sriworakarn Meeting Room, 5th Floor, Nakhon Phanom Municipality Office.

The MOU aims to strengthen academic, research, and public health collaborations within Nakhon Phanom Municipality. The cooperation focuses on knowledge exchange, professional training, and the development of public health competencies through academic and practical experiences. Joint initiatives include training programs, capacity building for personnel, and the application of research and academic services to enhance the quality of healthcare services for the local community.

BCNN joins the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Health Assembly 2025 “Developing Policy Proposals for an Inclusive Approach to an Aging Society in Nakhon Phanom”

On August 25, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sithikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, delivered the welcoming remarks at the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Health Assembly 2025 under the theme “Developing Policy Proposals for an Inclusive Approach to an Aging Society in Nakhon Phanom.” She emphasized the vital role of the College as a health education institution committed to advancing knowledge, research, and collaboration with partner networks to drive health policies and improve quality of life—particularly in addressing the pressing issue of an aging society.

The meeting was presided over by Acting Sub-Lieutenant Ruairung Khaiyabut, Deputy Governor of Nakhon Phanom Province, with the opening report delivered by Mr. Somchai Saenlang, Deputy Provincial Public Health Doctor of Nakhon Phanom. The event was organized by the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Health Assembly Committee and supported by the National Health Commission Office (NHCO). It provided a platform for representatives of government agencies, community organizations, civil society, and other stakeholders to exchange knowledge, discuss problems and lessons learned, and voice opinions on policy proposals for Nakhon Phanom’s aging society. A total of 60 participants attended, including representatives from agencies responsible for driving aging society initiatives, NHCO representatives, the private sector, local administrative organizations, community councils, the Provincial Health Assembly Committee, and Nakhon Phanom University. The meeting was held at the Fah Thor Tawan Conference Room, 2nd Floor, Chalermphrakiat 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary Building, Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom University.

The program included a keynote address on “The Aging Society and Public Participation in Policy Movement” by Mr. Charuek Chairak, Assistant Secretary-General of the National Health Commission. In addition, a panel discussion on “Driving Successes, Practical Outcomes, and Challenges in Addressing the Aging Society of Nakhon Phanom” was held, featuring Mr. Somchai Saenlang, Deputy Provincial Public Health Doctor; the Provincial Social Development and Human Security Office; Dr. Patcharapa Khwannsue, Academic Representative; Mr. Panupong Wongchampa, President of Thalad Subdistrict Administrative Organization; and Mr. Chaloemkiat Pimsri, Representative of the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Community Council. The discussion was moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khanin Chueaduangphui, Secretary of the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Health Assembly.

Furthermore, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Benjamas Pilayont, Committee Member of the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Health Assembly and Assistant Dean for Educational Quality Assurance, Boromarajonani College of Nursing, presented the policy proposal “Strategies and Approaches for Driving Inclusive Aging Society Policies for the People of Nakhon Phanom.” The session also included group exchanges, reflections, and recommendations from participants.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants collectively declared the commitment of the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Health Assembly network to advancing the proposed policies on aging society, aligned with the province’s Development Strategy No. 4: Social Development and Quality of Life for Sustainable Happiness. The strategy emphasizes enhancing education, promoting experiential learning, addressing poverty reduction, and developing digital skills among personnel, children, and youth—fully aligned with Nakhon Phanom Province’s strategic development goals.

BCNN holds a meeting to develop the information system for budget management.

On August 6, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sithikarn, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, assigned Assistant Dean for Policy, Planning, and Budgeting, Professor Charintorn Kotaprom, to preside over the meeting on the development of the information system for budget management. This activity aimed to improve the system and mechanisms for budget administration, supervision, monitoring, and evaluation of the operational plan effectively, and to support the implementation of the annual operational plan of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom. The meeting was attended by administrators, faculty members, and staff at the Inthapathnakorn Meeting Room, 9th Floor, Chalermprakiat 7th Cycle Anniversary Building, Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University.

BCNN Presentation of Teaching Development Plans and Educational Innovations

On August 5, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sittikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, presided over the opening ceremony of the presentation of development plans and innovative models used in teaching and learning. The event was held under the project to promote and enhance instructional management, with the participation of executives and faculty members from various subject groups at the “Fah Thor Tawan” meeting room, 2nd floor, Chalermprakiat Building, Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Phanom.

This activity was organized to develop innovations in the instruction of nursing-related subjects and to provide a platform for nursing instructors to exchange experiences, lessons learned, and findings from implementing educational innovations. The target participants were instructors from five nursing subject groups:

  1. Maternal, Newborn, and Midwifery Nursing

  2. Adult and Elderly Nursing

  3. Community Health Nursing

  4. Pediatric and Adolescent Nursing

  5. Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing

This event served as a key platform to drive the quality of teaching and learning to keep pace with societal and technological changes. It also aimed to inspire faculty members to develop effective and innovative teaching approaches that meet the needs of modern learners.

BCNN Advances Procurement System Development in Line with Good Governance Principles – Phase 5: Program Testing for Procurement Process

On August 5, 2025, the Administration and Resource Development Division, under the direction of Dr. Supranee Sittikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, assigned Assistant Professor Sirirat Intrakasem, Associate Dean for Administration and Resource Development, to preside over the project titled “Enhancing the Efficiency of the Procurement System in Accordance with Good Governance.”

This fifth workshop aimed to test a newly developed software for procurement processes. The event included hands-on activities allowing staff from all departments to practice submitting purchase and procurement requests via the system. The collected feedback and data on procurement issues will contribute to improving the efficiency of operations at Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom.

BCNN Promotes Traffic Discipline through “Safe Driving with Discipline” Campaign to Enhance Students’ Quality of Life

On August 6, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sithikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Phanom University, assigned Associate Professor Dr. Surachai Chaniang, Associate Dean for Student Development and International Relations, to preside over the opening of the student quality of life development project: “Safe Driving with Discipline”. He also extended a warm welcome to guest speakers from Mueang Nakhon Phanom Police Station. The event was attended by faculty, staff, and students at the Srikhottaboon Auditorium, Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom University.

This activity aimed to raise awareness and promote road safety knowledge. The college was honored to welcome traffic experts including:

  • Pol. Lt. Col. Suwit Nawiang, Traffic Inspector of Mueang Nakhon Phanom Police Station

  • Pol. Capt. Somdet Phochano, Deputy Inspector (Patrol), Mueang Nakhon Phanom Police Station
    along with a team of traffic officers, who provided valuable knowledge on traffic laws, proper motorcycle riding practices, and fostering appropriate traffic discipline in daily life. The goal was to reduce accidents and ensure safety for both the participants and the broader community.

This initiative reflects the college’s strong commitment to nurturing students to become both skilled professionals and responsible citizens. It also integrates health knowledge with everyday safe and responsible living.

BCNN Participates in the Oath of Allegiance Ceremony on the Occasion of His Majesty the King’s Birthday Anniversary 2025

On July 25, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sitthikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom (BCNN Nakhon Phanom), Nakhon Phanom University, assigned Associate Professor Prapairat Kaewsiri, Associate Dean for Academic Development, together with Associate Professor Darunee Sawadchot, Assistant Dean for Academic Services, to lead faculty members and staff in attending the oath of allegiance ceremony, pledging to be good civil servants and a strength of the nation. The ceremony took place at Phanom Naka Conference Room, 5th Floor, Administration Information Building, Nakhon Phanom University.

The ceremony was presided over by Professor Emeritus Dr. Thawatchai Supadit, President of Nakhon Phanom University, and was attended by university executives, faculty members, and staff from various faculties and colleges. This event demonstrated their loyalty and deep gratitude for His Majesty the King’s boundless royal grace, as they solemnly pledged their allegiance in front of His Majesty’s portrait, with the determination to serve as good and faithful civil servants.

Beyond being a gesture of loyalty, the ceremony also served to inspire and reinforce a commitment to integrity, transparency, and dedication among all civil servants in fulfilling their duties for the greatest benefit of the nation and its people.

BCNN Welcomes Faculty of Nursing from Udon Thani Rajabhat University for Knowledge Exchange on Elderly Care in the Community

On July 23, 2025, Dr. Supranee Sittikan, Dean of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom (BCNN), Nakhon Phanom University, welcomed a delegation from the Faculty of Nursing, Udon Thani Rajabhat University. The visiting team was led by Asst. Prof. Sirintip Khamme-on, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, accompanied by Asst. Prof. Puangphaka In-iem, Assistant Dean for Academic Services, faculty members, village heads and assistants from six villages, six community caregivers, and village health volunteers. The reception took place at the Ming Nakhon Phanom Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Chalermprakiat Building (Celebrating the King’s 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary), BCNN Nakhon Phanom.

The visiting team utilized the college’s facilities to carry out the project titled “Capacity Building for Community-Based Elderly Caregivers’ Network Leaders.” The program also included a knowledge exchange session on “Day Care Centers for the Elderly,” held at Ban Kho Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospital, Phon Sawan District, Nakhon Phanom Province. Speakers from the hospital included Dr. Patcharaporn Khwansoo, Senior Professional Nurse Specialist; Mrs. Nantana Khwansoo, Professional Nurse Specialist; and Ms. Ariya Lipha, Sports Scientist.

During the visit, BCNN Nakhon Phanom presented souvenirs to the delegation and introduced its team of experts. Asst. Prof. Dr. Benjayamas Pilayan, Assistant Dean for Quality Assurance, gave a presentation on “Concepts and Principles in Developing Award-Winning Elderly Care Centers and Introducing 3D Innovations for the Aging Society.” Dr. Patcharaporn Khwansoo also introduced the “Prepared Heart” innovation and conducted a group activity demonstration.

At the conclusion of the event, participants engaged in a joint reflection session, developed a 3-month action plan, and opened a forum for further discussion and collaboration in the future
